My wife has surname blank and given name as <Firstname><Lastname>. We filed our 485 in July 07. We didnt have any questions by lawyer. Dont know if we are in trouble.

1. If USCIS get <= 20k on April 1 (sunday), 2 and 3, all US-MS petitions are guaranteed to be at least processed ??
2. If UCSIS get > 20k on April 1 (sunday), 2 and 3, then i guess, all 20k+ numbers with receipt date including that date when USCIS officially announce H1B-US_MS cap reached, will be under random lotter??

We could have got 1000 from each of the IV member, if July Fiasco hadn't happened.
Most I spoke to are content with EAD/AP.
Even if 1000 of our ~41000 members contribute 100 dollars each, we can host two more events like this.
It makes sense to ask help from outside of the organization only when our internal resources are all exhausted. However, sadly, most of us do not want to even contribute for the good cause. :o

So all of you who support this, please think in terms of how you can convert your verbal support into action in some way, in the coming days.
Regarding a HIGH VISIBILITY Campaign
"Sometimes a scalpel is better than a sword"
My opinion: Personally, I am against high visibility campaign for an admin fix. We do not need too much visibilty for an admin fix unlike a legislative fix. In the case of admin fix, we need to focus on those few who can positively act on our request. In this case, those might be Hillary Clinton, Janet Napolitano, USCIS acting director etc. In the case of an admin fix a highly talented, politically skilled, IV delegation should work as the front end of this effort. While all others in the community should raise funds to support this delegation and their activities. We can form regional groups to raise funds on behalf of IV. Many of you can do that. Form groups of 5 at each region and try to arrange an Indian/Chinese movie show in your local theatre for raising funds. You can come up with better ideas than this for raising funds. This is just an idea came to my mind from my limited knowledge.

Denatured, looks like no one knows the exact answer. It's only the 2nd year we've had the lottery, and last year it was unexpected so not many people had 2 applications in.
If both of your H1s are approved, then I'd imagine you'd receive two approval notices with different company names on it. I believe you'd then have to choose which one you want to use for your visa stamp, and let the other company know you have to turn down their offer. I imagine they won't be happy about it, but it's your right and if you want to be ethical you can offer to refund their H1B filing fees.
I'm not an expert but from what I know the H1B is always issued for a specific person and a specific company. You are able to change the company on that visa, but the company cannot take the visa that was issued to your name and give it to another employee.

While they a burden to US for 2 years and add nothing to the economy during the same 2, years a H1B contributes to the economy in form of taxes (SS, medicare State and Federal Tax)
