I just looked at my old cases(H1Bs-I-129) and i see LUDs on them too!!! This is so weird.
These are from my last company!
LUD on 05/06/2006 - Approved on October 11, 2003
LUD on 10/21/2007 - Approved on March 19, 2002
I see LUDs but no difference in the status. They both say approval notice sent.

Cheque clearance is a good indication.
In other bills, I'd be happy if checks doesnt get cashed... :p But in this case, I'll be praying every day and checking bank balance to see if the checks are cashed...

Thanks man for your replies. I'm gathering as much as I can. All the tickets, birth certs.
Plus, to add to the complication, I've also confirmed ticket to meet them at Frankfurt on their way to US. My Euro vacation for a week would collapse and have to cancel everything.
I'm try to keep myself sane. There are much worse situations people are facing in this forum ( for example, a ninth pregnant lady getting laid off).
Just hoping (and praying) that this can be solved smoothly.

Pappu, pl clean up your mailbox! I sent a Nature article with potetial contacts but the mail bounced back. On a lighter side, at least tell me you are very busy at DC right now and won't be able to do this ;-)

Every bank is here to make money. I do transfer money through SBI and ICICI , didn't find any difference as far as rates are concerned. Services at ICICI are much better than Sarkari SBI. At least you can do many things with ICICI by sitting here rather than SBI.
Switching is not a good option, What you gonna do if other bank also doing with you the same thing. I would suggest complain it with RBI whatever you are not satisfied with.

Nope, if you think that the wait time is what makes a GC worth, then would you have liked to wait for another 10 years to make it more worthy?, on the other hand if you had got the GC the very next day you applied for it, would it have been worthless?.
The point I am trying to make is that no one can justify the wait time. it is torture.

What I am trying to say is that whether GC takes 1 years or 5years, it is worth the wait IMHO. If I have to do all over again knowing it could take 5-6 years, I will do it. But that's just my personal opinion.

He hates Illegals and not legal immigrants. I almost have heard him everyday going back home from work and all the time I have heard him saying there are people who legallly coming here for work that he supports. He always has been against "Amnesty" to Illegal Immigrants.

I do agree that to challenge the law rightfully, one has to have credibility.

I wanted to stress thru my post that H1-B worker can not put legal fight for these memo as it has to come from employer. Only time will tell, if or when any employer takes that step.
One thing, I would like to add here is that memo are advisory in nature and they do not have force of law and apply only to USCIS officers, not to immigration judges.

MBA is not about just learning or knowledge. (atleast that's what I saw in the business school). If you really want to know about finance, strategy or economic courses, it is already available in Sloan open courseware website. MBA is about networking and meeting the right people (even if you dont know anything) who can provide leads and opportunities in future. It also helps if it is from a top university with great alumni. I did go to a top 15 school flextime. Did it really help me ? Personally No. But it did provided me with a foot in the door for many opportunities. If you are H1B not looking to get a GC then I would risk it and go for full time. If you have a greencard, then I would risk it again and go for full time. But if you are in the middle of the process and want MBA to help your future growth and if you are planning to do part time, it is a long shot. Most of the part time programs don't really care about their students with respect to career opportunities and they all cater towards full timers. (Those are the statistics that is widely published in the news) It is a cash cow for the university. So the only odd man out is entreprenuership. If you are lucky you will be make it with the first company. But serial entreprenuers will eventually succeed in the long term. My advise is to go for a full time program with a top 15 school, I wish I should have done in top 5. Again there are lucky ones who can make it big even with a lower school, but the odds are slim.

Frankly, after mumbai attack I have been a different person. I come to this forum to learn and provide any information I can provide. But it bothers me to see few jerks like mirage who don't have any clue of how things work, and they just start posting on the forum "remove country limits, remove country limits, remove country limits, remove country limits, remove country limits, remove country limits, remove country limits" 30 times a day, as if that will be sufficient to remove country limits. And in more ways this uneducated style bothers me. I will try to ignore it and go my way.

Of late, you leave no stone unturned to write flaming messages to piss off others on this forum. Know when your GC and passport expires so that you can renew it. :)
Getting a GC does not mean you can ignore all your immigration issues.
