Just with few members going against you within couple of hours, you are backing from your point. Then imagine how tough it will be to work for our goals working against our forces on daily basis in this country.
Just less than a day and few members are enough to push you back. Having similar and stronger opposition IV is still live. This one is enough to prove the leader ship.
Your previous post demands results from IV. You look like CEO/Chairman of IV. I pity your insanity and you have to learn a lot to live in this real world.

Actually, not all he said was wrong.
We should not support what these IT consulting companies are doing with H1B programme just because we are on H1. These big companies are hoarding H1B visas so they can have an upperhand when dealing with the employees.
My own employer was trying to get as many H1s as possible without having ANY work for them.
This is also due to the fact that because even they have no work for all the H1B employees, they file for H1Bs in bulk, for they know that they don't have to pay people on bench, even though by law they are supposed to...
But most importantly we are concerned with visa recapture and GC reform in the long run..If H1B reform is the step towards that goal then that would be good..

No offense to the OP and Thanks for posting this, but this thread is kind of diverting us from some of the efforts currently in progress, we are again playing the prediction game.
Lets contribute to the FOIA funding drive and get the right information.

This thread should not divert our attention from FOIA action item. We just got some information through senator. It does not have enough details to conclude anything.
This response should help us to focus on what to ask for in FOIA/efforts through senators. It is a pointer that we won't get the required info unless we clearly specify what we want.

Excellent point. It is called the Selective Service System (www.sss.gov), used when the President orders a military draft (like the ones during WW2 and Vietnam war)
You have to register (males only) if you become a Permanent Resident in the ages 18-26; otherwise you could have problems during naturalization (N-400 has a specific question for Selective Service) and securing Federal Student Aid.

I have started taking printouts of the instructions and handing it to people - hoping that will increase the probability of them calling.
Great idea. Thanks for doing this. As we know from our admin fix campaign, our own members sometimes do it as soon as you hand out a hard-copy!
Also folks please don't feel shy to speak to these reps or their aides. On the other hand, please know that they respect you a lot for taking the time to call them and let them know what you feel about an issue.

When one switch employers using H1 transfer, the previous employer has to notify USCIS that you are no longer employed with them. The soft LUD's that you are seeing is a result of USCIS going back to the old employers and confirming that you are indeed not working with them...
Its just a procedural thing and nothing to worry about....

Yesterday, I was a citizen of X - country , I support X whole heartedly, today, I am a citizen of Z - country, so I will support Z whole heartedly - more so because the whole naturalization process is not an OFF/ON switch either.
