why would they spend time in entering the data in the system if any way they going to reject it...
As per our lawyers, right now USCIS is in the process of entering our applications in their system (for date of receipt and such). There was a memo from USCIS saying that they will be done with the job of data entry by August 1.
From August 1, we can expect either rejection or acceptance of the actual application. The hope is that a court/congressional intervention before August 1 will change the USCIS action of rejection into acceptance.

If you look at the ICE's public releases you will see they start investigating a case months before they announce their conclusions. I know in some cases the employers will be able to get away with small fines but we should not let this stop us.
I agree. There haas to be a start. Like how Obama has promised he will make corporate CEOs accountable for the mess they create and move on, we must also jump start the community towards cleansing the system.
The CEO level corruption, if held accountable, we will see less of layoffs etc.. and we can see the good old days permanant jobs that are "really" permanant

Since you don't have faith in IV and don't want to contribute...what are you doing here? When and If IV acheives result will you then remove money from your wallet? Also, ur goals other than getting ur green card does not match with IV's goal, so stop using "we" say "i".
No problem you can feel exactly how you want...i think the issues you and others have is beacuse u want to know what is happening with the funds. I agree on that point that we all come from india and having faith in any charity org is hard. But, you have to think beyond your myopic view. These people just like you have a full time job,they are equally frustrated with GC process and they have a lot to loose if they are caught in a criminal activities. So, tell me why would they throw away all that they have worked for to get a few thousand dollars from you all.People get shocked saying where did the 200K go? Please give me a break don't most H1B earn really high salary. If you are prudent and a good saver you can easily save that money in a few years time.

If possible taken an infopass appt. They might be able to tell you the correct status of your appln.
BTW: Does any one know how long does it take for a decision to be made on an application once it has been pre-adjudicated and assiged to an IO?:confused:

They moved from 8/1/2002 to 9/22/2002.
According to the I485 inventory they published, there is what.. 400 cases between these two date, why only move 400 cases per month = 4800 per year when the annual quota for EB3 ROW is what.. around 30,000?
Never mind the spillover, can ROW just get its normal quota at least?

Such events cost money. If we have enough contributions, we can spend as per our budget of nearly $ 50,000. If not, we will have to cut back on the event spending and reduce the magnitude and size of the event.
If you are not coming to DC next week, please do your part and contribute funds to Immigration Voice. It not only finances the event properly, it instills pride and confidence in the members who will be there in DC that there are thousands of willing supporters behind them who could not be there physically but are 100% with them in their determination and resolve.

It may not look as bad but this is a time to step back and take a better look on every step moving forward. This is a very testing time for the economic outcome in the next few months. A very sad episode to have come upon an Indian family my heartfelt condolence to them.

With him lay his two youngest sons Arjuna (7) and Ganesha (12), both shot dead. In different rooms across the house they found the bodies of Karthik’s wife Subasri (39), his mother-in-law Indra Ramasesham (69), and his eldest son Krishna (19). They all appeared to have been shot to death by Karthik Rajaram.
Police also found two suicide notes – one for the cops and one for extended family and friends -- and a will. In them, Rajaram he spoke of his financial difficulties and took responsibility for killing his family members, police said.

Senate republicans will be working hard to come up with something that addressess the immigration problem. Senate republicans know that border security and immigration is an important issue and they just can not ignore it. So please contribute.
When you get GC your whole family will get benifit. Family of 4 contributing $100 to immigration voice means that per person you have contributed only $25.00. PLEASE BE GENERIOUS AND CONTRIBUTE ON BEHALF OF YOUR FAMILY TOO.

Does your old company withdraw I140? If the answer is No, then you should move.
My priority date is Jan 04 EB2 and I have a very good job offer. I am in dilemma whether to change the job or just wait for the PD to become current. I have recently got my H1 approval for 3 more year on the basis for 140 approval.

a) immigrationvoice.com is a tool for the Immigration Voice organization. This website/forum has 10K members, and in any population of 10,000 people, you will get all sorts and kinds of people. There will be no unanimity of views. So, when it doesn't cost to express an opinion, you will get lots of opinions.
As we get more and more members, the number of opinions is only going to increase.
ImmigrationVoice Organization on the other hand, consists of some influential core members who have been working on EB-based issues for more than a year. This organization also has some active state chapters.
I would request you and your like-minded friend not to confuse the organization with the website.
Join the organization. Thats what matters. The website is only a tool.
b) The REAL POWER of this organization will lie in its state chapters. Trust me. If you sit with ten people you know, and talk about these issues, and resolve to do something about the situation, and come up with an action plan and an operating mechanism, that will be where the strength of IV lies.
This forum provides good live information (when there is a senate testimony, or call Senator session's office campaign going on), and sometimes useful information and announcements.
But most of the time, you will get opinions, and comic relief from here.
Friend of mine (to whom I contacted regarding IV) is in USA for 7 years and knows how lobbying & party funds are raised (including Watergate) and also very much aware of "Retrogression" and problems of being "Legal".
Also, he is aware of cause of IV and appreciate that but he is un-comfortable because whenever he login to IV, he noticed that:
- more than 40-50% respondents are talking about money/contributions & signatures showing how much they have contributed as of today,
- 10-15% are talking about blocking non-contributors(calling by Free Lunchers etc..),
- 5 % are Pseudo intellectuals (talking BIG but dont know immigration basics like - PD, issues of I-140/I485)
- 5% are always trying to shutdown others, accusing/calling by names to other forum members (he says "Highly skilled" in accusing!!)
- and remaining are "Positive" contributors for IVs retrogression cause (talking about - I spoke to senators office, can we arrange rallies, when to Fax/fliers, when State chapters are going to meet, posting excerpts from senate/CSPAN/News etc..)
Is our audience is so? Can we focus on our cause? pl be together like.. Like-Minded!!!
